On June 19th, on the first day of the Polo de Paris Women’s Open, four all-female teams prepared to compete in the verdant setting of the Bagatelle polo ground.
After two tense games, the CHARRIOL team brilliantly asserted a victory against their HECLA opponents.
The CHARRIOL ladies found themselves in the final against VICOMTESSE, having triumphed over ESPRIT DIABLESSE DU MARYLAND – IN THE WINGS.
The four teams then met at the Polo de Paris for a final set on Wednesday 25th June under glorious sunshine and supported by an equally cheery and enthusiastic public.
The CHARRIOL team, captained by Caroline Anier, won the match with verve, in a 6 to 2 result. Accompanied by teammates Emmanuelle Morandi, Bonny Ahnine and Laurence de Dampierre, the CHARRIOL ladies married a fighting spirit with finesse and went on to win the tournament.
Marie-Olga Charriol, Public Relations Director for the CHARRIOL brand was present at the match to encourage the teams and to award the trophy.

Marie-Olga is continuing the brand’s commitment to polo and is organising a further edition of the Ladies CHARRIOL Cup, to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, this September.
