Charriol extends its involvement in the world of beauty pageants as it sponsored this year’s 13th Miss Universe Thailand pageant. The event, which took place in the Siam Pavalai Royal Grand Theatre in Bangkok, saw Krabi-born Farida Waller take the crown as Miss Universe Thailand 2012. Born Natpimol Natthayalak, the half Thai-Austrian beauty emerged victorious from a group of 44 contestants. She was presented with a 1 million Thai Baht cash prize, a brand new Toyota Prius, and a Charriol Celtic watch with diamonds.
Waratthaya Wongchayaporn was crowned first runner-up and will continue to represent her country as Miss Earth Thailand 2012. Pornpassorn Attapunyapol won second runner-up, followed by Supattra Jucharoen and Gaewalin Sriwanna as third and fourth runner-up, respectively.
Last December, Charriol sponsored the Miss Earth 2011 pageant which took place in the Philippines. Mr. Philippe Charriol, founder and president of Charriol International, took part as one of the judges.
