Geneva, December 9th 2012 – At the glittering Miss France 2013 award ceremony held last night in the Zénith Arena in Limoges, France, Charriol, as a partner of the event, was delighted to present Marine Lorphelin, the new Miss France 2013 with a commemorative PARISII watch. Each of the four runners-up: Miss Tahiti, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Miss Martinique and Miss Pays de Loire each received a Rotonde by Charriol watch.
Promoting beauty, fashion, charisma and elegance, the Miss France competition is a fitting partnership for Charriol watches and jewellery, which has sponsored a number of related Miss World events over the past decade. These include Miss Thailand (2011), Miss Earth (2011), Miss Universe (2010, 2005), Miss Ecuador (2011), Miss Philippines (2009), and Miss Panama (1999).
The dazzling Parisii timepiece gifted to Marine Lorphelin from the Bourgogne region of France is a quartz watch in stainless steel and black leather, embellished with a lunette of 144 sparkling diamonds. Just as essential as the ‘little black dress’, the chic Parisii timepiece is conceived as a staple of every modern girl’s wardrobe. The silver dial displays four Roman numerals together with hour, minute and second counters, and a date counter at 4 o’clock.
A classically beautiful rounded timepiece, the name Parisii harks back to the origins of the French capital, Paris, named by ancient Celtic tribes in the 3rd Century, BC. The Celts were famed for their flamboyant style and love of the arts and Celtic themes have been synonymous with Charriol timepieces and jewellery since its founding; the House’s signature twisted cable design, recognised the world over, is inspired by the ancient Celts’ woven jewellery designs.
Four Miss France 2013 runners-up received a Rotonde by Charriol model, a pretty quartz watch with a gently fluted (notched) bezel. In stainless steel and black leather, this Rotonde is distinguished by a white mother of pearl dial and a contemporary bezel displaying Roman numerals interspersed with round screws. A smart alligator-skin strap completes the look.
As the girls embark on their Miss France 2013 journey and represent the beauty of their country, the Charriol timepieces will accompany them, providing a lasting reminder of a time they will cherish – now and in years to come.
